Naming Rooms to Honor Peter Schultz, Mary Watt, Carolyn Wahl
Kinhaven is built on traditions, mentorship, community, and a deep love for music. As we look back on our history, few names stand out more than Peter Schultz, Mary Watt, and Carolyn Wahl. After a combined 120+ years of dedication to Kinhaven, all three of these beloved faculty members—whose impact has shaped generations of musicians and whose constant presence has been a true cornerstone spanning over half of Kinhaven’s history —are retiring. This moment is both a celebration and an opportunity for our community to express gratitude for their immeasurable contributions.
Donate today and help us reach our goal of raising $150,000 to support the naming of the Peter Schultz Flute Room, the Mary Watt Reed Room, and the Carolyn Wahl Horn Room. These spaces will serve as lasting tributes to their legacy, ensuring that future generations of musicians continue to be inspired by their passion and commitment.
Gifts of $1,000 or more will be memorialized on the dedication plaques outside each of the rooms. All donations that Kinhaven receives in Peter, Mary, and Carolyn’s honor will be presented in a full list with each donor’s name alongside any personal messages included with the gifts.

Kinhaven, like all organizations, needs to take care of our infrastructure, beautiful grounds and general ongoing expenses. We maintain these responsibilities through our annual fund.
Capital Campaign
